Supposedly, eating almonds can help improve your memory. This is probably based on the fact that they are an excellent source of vitamin E, which deficiencies in are associated with poor memory, Alzheimer’s, and dementia. The phytochemicals almonds contain are also associated with memory and neurological function. On top of that, almonds are also a good source of magnesium, phosphorus, copper, and manganese. Munch on!
One brand of almonds that I like is by AustiNuts (specifically the dry roasted unsalted). They’re local, cheaper per ounce than Blue Diamond, which I used to buy, and surprisingly super delicious. I was literally astounded by how tasty they were. My boyfriend had the same reaction, like, 3 months later when he first tried them too, “wow, these are tasty.”
One thing I’m sad about is the packaging. I could recycle Blue Diamond’s green tubs but can’t do anything about the plastic bag AustiNuts comes in. Oh well 😦
